Brand Overview

Tanabe Co., Ltd. is a Japanese automotive aftermarket manufacturer established in Ikeda, Osaka, in January 1982. Tanabe designs and manufactures performance suspension components, exhaust systems, strut tower bars and chassis braces.

Motorsport Heritage

Tanabe became involved in N1 competition in 1994, developing race-specification springs and dampers under its SUSTEC brand. N1 racing demanded parts that could survive extended endurance events without failure.

Everyday Driving

Although Tanabe has a strong motorsport and performance background, its suspension range is not designed solely for track use. The company applies lessons learned in competition to produce springs and dampers that work well on ordinary roads.

In 2018, DWD Suspension made its international debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, launching its own brand of suspension featuring DD-S and DD-R coilovers. Today, DWD's R&D philosophy focuses on developing suspension solutions that balance handling and comfort, rather than concentrating exclusively on extreme performance.

Its most popular series today is the DDS+ coilover kit. Specifically positioned for daily street driving, from the shock absorbers and coilsprings design, it should give you a better driving experience with sharper handling yet with comfortable daily driving comfort.

Motorsport places significantly greater demands on a braking system compared to normal road driving. Repeated high-speed braking, extreme temperatures and continuous heat cycles require every component of the system to perform consistently under pressure.
